Jake Johnson says it best when we asked about his hope for New Girl's Nick, who went from the normal one of the group to the dude in overalls obsessing over a tomato garden. Oh, yeah. That's happening. When we sat down with Johnson to discuss Nick's slow but sure downward spiral, he said some things that made us a little nervous for the rest of the season, especially concerning Nick and Jess. May 1: “Backslide”
When Jess runs into her ex-boyfriend, Paul (guest star Justin Long), and Nick runs into his ex-girlfriend, Caroline (guest star Mary Elizabeth Ellis), the gang fears they may “backslide” into relationships with them. Meanwhile, Schmidt desperately tries not to get aroused as he deals with a delicate medical issue, and Winston suffers the consequences of a wild night out.
May 8: “See Ya” (Season Finale)
When one of the roommates decides to move out of the loft, the gang makes an unexpected trip to the desert where Winston faces his fear of the dark, Cece and Schmidt’s relationship reaches a turning point and Jess and Nick square off with a coyote.

"New Girl": Nick's ex-girlfriend Caroline is coming back into the picture, and it looks like she's not going to have any trouble getting Nick back. Also, Cece's grandmother will make a memorable -- and kind of terrifying -- appearance. By the end of the season, one of the roommates will be seriously considering moving out of the apartment.

Tonight's all-new New Girl is titled, "Normal" but it's safe to say this episode is far from that. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar guest stars as Winston's crazy radio station coworker and teaches him how to "sky hook." And once again, Nick is floundering while trying to find his niche in life so he turns to his old "Idea Notebook'" for some inspiration. Lamorne Morris revealed exclusively to us, "Nick may start a ketchup business." Move over, Heinz! Look's like you've got some condiment competition.

"New Girl": We're a little confused about this one ourselves, but here goes. Lamorne Morris tells us that we're going to see a whole new side of Winston in an upcoming episode. "Winston gets possessed by a gay, old, negro ghost. An old-timey negro ghost," he says. "Okay, possessed is a metaphor, but when you see my performance, you'll say, 'That looks like a gay old negro ghost.'"
